Projects

Oil and Gas

  • Gas processing - Designed, fabricated, and programmed PLC control panels for control, shutdown, and alarm callout for gas plants in Bolivia and Argentina.
  • Production Company SCADA - Design, fabricated, and programmed 12 SCADA PLC/RTU panels. Installed in field and wired all I/O into panel. Set-up communications using 900 MHz radios.
  • Aransas Wildlife SCADA - Designed, installed, and configured RTU to provide remote monitoring and control of production battery in sensitive wildlife refuge.
  • Rio Grande SCADA - Design and installed a SCADA system for three pipeline metering stations to transmit EFM data to office in Houston.
  • Laredo SCADA - Installed, configured, and set-up communications on 52 Electronic Flow Meters (EFM) located at remote well sites and tank batteries. Units gathered and transmitted data to production office. Utilized 900 MHz radios for communications.
  • Freer Field SCADA - Installed and configured SCADA system with 44 EFMs to collect and transmit data to field production office.
  • Offshore platform - Designed, installed, and configured RTU on offshore platform to provide remote monitoring and control of gas well.
  • Gas Measurement SCADA - Built, installed, and configured approximately 40 meter skids with EFMs throughout South Texas to collect and transmit data to division office.
  • SWD PLC Upgrade - Removed old control system on a Salt Water Disposal system and replaced with PLCs to improve reliability and reduce failures and downtime.
  • Fuel Delivery Pipeline - Designed and installed Wonderware SCADA System to monitor and control the measurement and delivery of jet fuel to large airport.
  • Pipeline SCADA - Designed and installed AutoScan system to collect data, monitor, control, and alarm multiple pipeline systems in South Texas.

Irrigation/Municipalities

  • Irrigation controls - Automate pump operation at relift plant. Start and stop 3 pumps to maintain constant canal level. Canal level determines when and how many pumps to turn on depending on demand. Pumps operating sequence automatically changes each cycle to have equal run times on pumps. Alarms call manager through auto dialer.
  • Irrigation gate control - Wirelessly control gate levels through the office computer or automatically control gate level off of water level.
  • Irrigation pump/gate timers - Schedule pumps to turn on and gates to open in advance.
  • Wastewater - Programmed Allen-Bradley PLC to control sequencing, operation, and shutdown of three (3) lift-station pumps.
  • Irrigation District - Designed, installed, and maintained SCADA system for control of water distribution system using Wonderware HMI and SCADAPack PLCs.
  • City Water Supply - Install controls of remote pumps at public lake to transfer water to local municipality lake. Installed communications and sensors to remotely report water tower levels.

Processing

  • Bottled delivery pipeline - Designed and installed PLC to control assembly line for automatic process of washing, filling, and capping of bottled water.
